This turmeric latte, AKA Golden Milk, not only gives you the comfort of a warm, delicious drink, it also delivers a healing boost. Turmeric contains curcumin(the active ingredient that gives it the golden color) which acts as a powerful antioxidant to fight free radicals and reduce inflammation. Warm Spiced Tumeric Latte
- 1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk(or any plant-based milk of choice)
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup, raw honey or coconut sugar
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon, plus more for sprinkling on top
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- a pinch of black pepper
In a small pot, add all ingredients over low heat and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Drink and enjoy!
