- 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 cup Long Grain Rice
- 2 Bell Peppers diced; Any colors you like!
- 24 oz Marinara Sauce
- 1½ cups Broth either vegetable, chicken or beef broth works
- 2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Blend
- ½ cup Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon Salt or more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon Pepper
Optional
- Fresh Chopped Parsley or Basil for garnish
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then brown sausage, onion and garlic stirring consistantly for about 5 minutes.
Add the peppers, rice and seasonings and saute about 2 minutes until flavorful.
Stir in the broth and marinara sauce and bring to a boil. Once the mixture is boiling, cover and lower heat to a simmer for about 15 minutes or until rice is cooked. Times may vary. Remove lid and stir a few times while cooking to make sure the rice isn't sticking to the pan.
