Ingredients

  • 1-½ cups Almond Flour finely ground
  • 4 tablespoon Tapioca Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • cup Plant-Based Milk unsweetened
Optional
  • 2 tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup or sweetener of choice
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

Method

  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. Add flours, baking powder, eggs, salt and oil to a mixing bowl. Stir to combine. If making a "sweet" waffle, add in the optional ingredients- pure maple syrup, cinnamon & vanilla extract.
  3. Slowly add milk and mix until you have a batter consistency. If needed, add more milk by the tablespoon if the batter is too thick, but it shouldn't be!
  4. Grease your waffle iron and pour batter onto the center of the hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Cooking time varies depending on your waffle iron.

Notes

I like to make these waffles with no added sweetener in order to keep them versatile to use with a variety of different toppings. However, for a classic "sweet" waffle, go ahead and add the optional ingredients of pure maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
Make Ahead: Waffle batter can easily be made ahead and refrigerated in an air tight container for up to 5 days. Before using, stir well.
Freeze: You can freeze cooked waffles and then reheat in the toaster or oven.
