Gluten Free Salmon Patties with Garlic Aioli

These gluten free salmon patties made with almond flour for a low carb, high protein lunch or dinner. Crispy, easy to make, and perfect for meal prep or busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

Salmon Patties
  • 15 oz Canned Wild Caught Salmon Boneless; drained
  • 2 tablespoon Mayo
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup Almond Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley or Chives chopped; fresh herbs are optional, if you don't have them on hand just skip it, but they do give these patties lots of extra flavor.
  • 2 tablespoon Avocado Oil or your favorite cooking oil for sauteing
Garlic Aioli
  • ½ cup Mayo
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper

Method
 

Salmon Patties
  1. Mix together all ingredients for the salmon cakes(except oil) in a medium sized bowl.
  2. In a large stove top pan, heat oil on medium-high until simmering
  3. Using your hands, form salmon mixture into round patties.
  4. Saute the cakes for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Don't try to flip them until a nice crust has formed on the bottom. Add more oil as needed.
  5. Transfer to a plate and serve with Garlic Aioli and lemon wedges.
Garlic Aioli
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the mayo, ketchup, garlic powder, salt and cayenne. Cover and chill until serving.
