Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Steak very thinly sliced
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper Sliced thin
  • 1 Sweet Onion Sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
Dairy Free Cheese Sauce
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Plant-Based Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Tapioca Flour
  • 3 tablespoon Nutritional Yeast
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté until soft and caramelized (about 10 minutes). Season with a little salt and pepper.
  2. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in the thinly sliced steak, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 4–5 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked through.
  3. While the steak is cooking, add the sauce ingredients to a stovetop pan over medium heat until simmering. Lower heat and whisk until thickened.
  4. Serve the steak and veggies over a base of rice, cauliflower rice or greens for a low-carb, gluten-free meal. Drizzle with the creamy dairy-free cheese sauce and enjoy!
