If you're on the hunt for healthy gluten-free recipes that don't feel like you're missing out, this one is for you!

    Ingredients You'll Need

To make these easy and delicious cheesesteak bowls, you'll need:

    • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, very thinly sliced (I use frozen Steakum's that are 100% beef to give the best flavor of a real Philly Cheesesteak)
    • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
    • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    For the Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce:

    • 1 cup unsweetened Plant based milk
    • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
    • 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder and salt

How to Make Gluten and Dairy Free Cheesesteak Bowls

    1. Sauté the Veggies

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté until soft and caramelized (about 10 minutes). Season with a little salt and pepper.

    2. Cook the Steak

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in the thinly sliced steak, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked through.

    3. Make the Dairy-Free Cheese Sauce

While the steak is cooking, add the sauce ingredients to a stovetop pan over medium heat until simmering. Lower heat and whisk until thickened.

    4. Assemble the Bowls

Serve the steak and veggies over a base of rice, cauliflower rice or greens for a low-carb, gluten-free meal. Drizzle with the creamy dairy-free cheese sauce and enjoy!

    Meal Prep Tips

These cheesesteak bowls are perfect for healthy meal prep:

    • Store the steak, veggies, and cheese sauce separately in airtight containers.
    • Reheat everything in the microwave or skillet just before eating.
    • Lasts up to 4 days in the fridge.

Add them to your weekly gluten and dairy free meal prep rotation for a quick, protein-packed lunch or dinner!

    Make It Your Own!

You can easily customize these cheesesteak bowls to fit your preferences:

    • Use chicken or ground turkey instead of steak.
    • Add mushrooms or jalapeños for an extra kick.

These gluten and dairy free cheesesteak bowls prove that you can enjoy comforting flavors without the allergens. Whether you're following a special diet or just looking for wholesome dinner recipes, this dish delivers big on both taste and nutrition.
