How to Make this Gluten-Free Drop Biscuit Recipe

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda sugar and salt.

Step 2: Add in the Butter and Egg
Pour in the melted butter and add the egg. Gently stir the mixture.

Step 3: Combine the Milk and Apple Cider Vinegar
Stir the Apple Cider Vinegar into the milk. Let sit for a few minutes then pour the buttermilk mixture into the batter, Stir until a thick dough forms. Avoid overmixing!

Step 4: Scoop & Bake
Using an ice cream scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet. Bake until the biscuits are lightly golden and set in the center.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gluten Free 1:1 Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ยฝ teaspoon Salt
  • 8 tablespoon Melted Butter salted
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar add an additional tablespoon sugar for sweet Biscuits
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400ยฐF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
  • Add in melted butter and egg. Then add the milk + apple cider vinegar mixture. Stir gently until a thick dough forms.
  • Scoop dough (about ยผ cup each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing biscuits about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 15-16 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  • Brush warm biscuits with more melted butter if desired. Serve immediately.
