- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- ⅔ cup Brown Sugar, packed
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Oil
- ⅔ cup Molasses
- ½ cup Water
- 2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon Cloves
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1½ cups Confectioner's Sugar
- 4 oz Cream Cheese softened
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for approx 45 minutes.
- Let cool before frosting.
- In the meantime, make the cream cheese frosting. Add the cream cheese and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Slowly add the confectioner's sugar and use an electric mixer until a smooth frosting forms.
