These Grain-Free Crispy Chicken Meatballs are a healthier and delicious take on classic fried chicken! They taste just like they are deep fried, but instead are browned in a skillet and then baked until crisp. They’re flavorful, juicy and made without any gluten, grains, dairy or eggs.
Hold onto this recipe because it will quickly become a family favorite! These Crispy Chicken Meatballs are so versatile and my kids LOVE them. They’re easy to make ahead, so I like to make a big batch and have them on hand for meals throughout the week or easy lunches.
Ingredients Needed to Make this Crispy Chicken Meatball Recipe!
- Ground Chicken. I use organic lean ground chicken.
- Seasonings. You’ll need a variety of seasonings, but you should already have most in your pantry.
- Tapioca Flour. This grain-free flour is what gives the chicken its crispy coating.
That’s it! No need to run out to the store for any crazy ingredients with this recipe!
What to Serve with these Crispy Chicken Meatballs
Pretty much anything goes with these versatile meatballs!
- Serve with pasta, or spaghetti squash for a low-carb option, then add your favorite marinara.
- Top them on a bed of greens with your favorite dressing.
- You can also experiment with other sauces- turn them into buffalo or teriyaki chicken meatballs then serve over rice. Sometimes I just eat them alongside some roasted vegetables.
Make them an appetizer! Roll into smaller meatballs, stick a toothpick in, and you have an easy appetizer for your next gathering. This recipe also works great as chicken patties! Just flatten the chicken mixture instead of rolling into a ball. Dip into the tapioca mixture and cook as directed.
