These Loaded Apple Nachos are a quick & healthy snack that the whole family will love! Sliced apples are drizzled with warm nut butter, then topped with chocolate chips and layered with whatever other toppings you are craving. This delicious snack is naturally gluten-free, and you'll get a serving of fruit, protein, healthy fats and chocolate all in one!

My daughter would eat apples all day if I let her, no joke. Don't get me wrong, it's a great thing that she loves her fruit, but we needed to get some more nutrition into her throughout the day. So, we started making these loaded apple nachos a few years ago and she LOVED them.
Even better, she loved this snack so much, probably because of the chocolate, that she wanted to get in the kitchen and help make it! She drizzles the peanut butter and sprinkles on the toppings herself, so if you have kids, get them involved in making these apple nachos with you.
Apple Nachos are a Great Healthy Snack!
This snack is as simple as it gets! Since this recipe isn't really a recipe, but more of a guide, it's completely flexible. Feel free to add toppings in any amount you like and use as many apples as you need for the amount of people you'll be serving.
Does it matter what kind of apples you use?
Not at all! We love to use honey crisp or granny smith, but again, it's up to you! Try to circle your apples similar to the picture to be sure your toppings are spread evenly onto all slices. Then warm your nut butter, drizzle and layer your toppings!
These apple nachos are also easy to adapt for allergies. Use almond butter or sunbutter in place of peanut butter, and vegan chocolate chips instead of regular.
