Here's How to Make this Homemade Gluten Free Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
To make this delicious baked Gluten Free Mac and Cheese, begin with preheating your oven to 350 degrees. While your oven is preheating, with a large stockpot, boil water. Once boiled, proceed to add your pasta and cook 2 minutes less than the called for time on packaging. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot tossing it with the oil. Have all of your cheeses shredded and mixed in a separate bowl.
In a separate stove top pan, melt butter on low heat, then stir in gluten free flour to create a roux. Continue, adding milk and heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Add your 4 cups of cheese (leaving some on the side for later), stirring until thickened. After, add your cooked pasta and stir until fully coated.
Next, in a casserole dish, preferably 9x13, lightly grease, then add half of your cheesy pasta mixture. Layer with extra cheese, then top the dish off with the remaining pasta mixture. In a small bowl, mix together the topping ingredients, and sprinkle the entire top of the dish.
Finally, in the preheated oven, bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbling. After cooling for a few minutes, enjoy your warm and mouthwatering gluten-free mac and cheese!
